Your experience can help shape the science.
Research grows through the people who share their time and perspectives. Learn about taking part in work at SHIP Lab.
Start with a conversation.
Contact the lab to ask whether a study may be a good fit for you.
Our team can share information about available opportunities and explain any study’s eligibility, activities, time commitment, and compensation before you decide.
Current recruitment details are available directly from the lab. Sending an inquiry does not enroll you in a study.

Before you take part.
What should I include in my first email?
Let us know you’re interested in research participation and how you prefer to be contacted. You don’t need to include personal health details in your first message.
What would a study involve?
Each project is different. The team will explain the study’s purpose, procedures, eligibility, possible risks, and time commitment. Ask any questions you need to decide whether it is right for you.
Can I change my mind?
Research participation is voluntary. Before joining, review the study’s consent information with the research team, including how to stop participating and what happens to information already collected.
Is taking part the same as getting care?
Research and clinical care serve different purposes. If you are looking for help or resources, use our support page so the team understands what you need.
